Ammonia Refrigeration Risk Management Plan (RMP)

The Clean Air Act of 1990, Title V, includes requirements for facilities regulated by PSM to submit Risk Management Plans (RMP's) to the EPA.  It is critical to carefully and accurately address issues with the EPA as EPA fines are up to $27,500 per day.  Risk Management incorporates PSM, but also requires:

• Executive Summary and Registration
• Hazard Assessment - Worst Case and Alternative Scenarios
• 5 Year process accident history
• Document Management System
• Emergency Response Plan, management data and coordination with local responders
• Refiling every five years or at PHA revisions
